Our Philosophy
     Faith is more than what happens on Sunday mornings. It's a part of who we are, inside and out. At Noonday Baptist Church, we believe in sharing the joy of the gospels daily, and living a life that embodies the spirit of Christ.
     Noonday Baptist Church is a traditional, conservative Baptist church rich in history and heritage.  We love each other, our community, and we love you! 

      The church was established in 1876 ad has faithfully served the Noonday area for all these years.  NBC is a healthy and loving church and we would be honored to have you visit us and see what God is doing in Noonday, TX.

Our Church History

      In 1866 a few settlers in the Neches River area organized a Baptist church and named it "The Seven League Baptist Church in Christ". Ten years later a few members withdrew from Seven League Church and met at the crossroads in the center of the Seven League area.   There they organized a Baptist church and the community and the church were named Noonday. In October of 1876 the Twenty-fifth annual session of the Cherokee Baptist Association was held at the First Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas. The minutes of the meeting state in part that on October 10, 1876 the Association accepted Noonday Baptist Church (NBC) and received the church into it's membership.  It is not certain whether the original membership was 3 or 7.
​     The land where the church is located was purchased in 1888.  The original church building was built some time after that.  Since 1912 the church has been remodeled several times. Steeples have been added and removed, with one presently adorning the building. There have been many changes, including some structural changes and additions, some personnel changes, and additional land  purchases. 

     We have Children, Youth and Adult Bible Study each Sunday morning.  On Sunday evening there is a Bible study in our sanctuary with youth activities in the CLC.  Wednesday evening activities include. Bible study and prayer time in the sanctuary and again include youth and children's classes.
